Diana and Adam Stone would like to welcome you to Coldgate Mill, which is situated on the edge of the national Park beside Happy Valley. Coldgate Mill was originally a corn mill. We have 3 cottages here set in a 5-acre site. It is a quiet location with plenty of wildlife and a millstream running through the gardens. Northumberland is one of the last bastions of red squirrels and we are lucky to have them in the garden. Coldgate Mill is centrally located in North Northumberland and is an ideal base to explore the area. The town of Wooler is 1.5 miles away and it is only a short drive to Alnwick gardens, Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island (Lindisfarne.) In just an hours drive you can be in Edinburgh to the north or Newcastle to the south. We are far enough inland to avoid the ‘sea fret’ which can plague the North East coast. The cottages are owner maintained and cleaned. We live onsite and are therefore available to help when required.
